A literate roleplay is a very serious, in depth roleplay in which grammar and spelling are absolute necessities. They focus a lot on character and plot development and usually posts of less than three sentences are frowned upon.
They are very long both to read and post in and generally, moving slowly is what they do. If you like light-hearted or quick paced roleplays, then literates are not for you.
